The fight of the year is less than 24 hours away and there is lot at stake for both Amanda Nunez and Ronda Rousey. Both fighters are so incredibly matched that its almost impossible to predict who is going to win. Even though the bookies have made Rousey slight favorite over the Brazilian, but the former Champ Meisha Tate has tipped Nunez to win.
‘Rowdy’ Rousey and ‘The Lioness’ Nunez both successfully made the weight at the weigh-ins, fighters were exactly at the 135 lbs bantamweight limit yesterday.
The UFC event was not without controversy as former champion Rousey continued her media blackout. The American was the 1st to appear on the stage at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vagas. She rose to the scales and avoided all stares from the media. As soon as the Navada Athletic Commission confirmed her weight, Rousey stormed off the stage.
After her departure, Nunez appeared and weighted exactly the same as Ronda. Both fighters looked incredible ripped and in great shape ahead of their showdown on Friday.
The fight will begin at 3:00am UK time.
