Current WBC and IBF super-middleweight title holder Shields is going to face 41-year old Tori Nelson who recently defeated Latashia Burton.

Shields is going to defend her titles against the undefeated challenger Nelson on Friday Jan’12 at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.

After the great win over Nikki Adler in August, Shields is confident for her next fight.

Nelson is the second consecutive undefeated opponent for Shields who is first American boxer with back-to-back 2 Olympics Gold Medals.

Shields won her first medal at the London Games 2012 in Inaugural Women’s Boxing Competition when she was only 17 years old.

Just after 4 years of her grand victory, she won a gold medal at Rio Olympics, 2016. She compiled the amateur record of 78-1 and turned professional just after winning her second gold medal.

“I’m truly excited to have the chance to demonstrate my skills against an opponent the caliber of Tori Nelson,” Shields said.

Shields (4-0, 2 KOs) claims that it is going to be one of the greatest nights for my fans and a great beginning of the historic year for women’s boxing.

Nelson (17-0-3, 2 KOs) holds the honor of beating the two previously unbeaten boxing stars Alicia Napoleon and Mia St. John.

Nelson won her first title ever back in 2011, and now she is confident to capture her second world title against the rising star in women’s boxing.https://youtu.be/_elAODBtTNc
