UFC Fight Night 219: Andrade Vs Blanchfield, or UFC Vegas 69 produced some stunning decisions that will change up the rankings in a significant manner. Erin Blanchfield proved her worth for the Women’s Flyweight division by taking out the powerful Jessica Andrade. William Knight stood tall in front of Marcin Prachnio to receive more kicks than anyone in UFC 3-round history.

Main event: Jéssica Andrade Vs Erin Blanchfield

Andrade and Blanchfield wasted no time getting into the action. Early on, Andrade landed a big right hand, but Blanchfield answered with straight punches of her own and cleverly clinched up along the fence. Andrade then managed to defend against a takedown, although Blanchfield was clearly giving her a run for her money.

Blanchfield began to gain the upper hand when she connected with a cross and another punch. Andrade quickly retaliated but looked sloppy in the process. This allowed Andrade to land an uppercut on target and mark some redness. The round eventually ended with one last take-down attempt from Blanchfield.

The second round kicked off with exchanges from both women and Blanchfield scoring her first take-down through an inside trip. This left Andrade vulnerable as Blanchfield immediately jumped on her back and locked her in a rear naked choke!

Blanchfield demonstrated why she is considered one of the best female fighters in the sport by showing improved kickboxing skills and facing off against a powerful opponent without hesitation.

Blanchfield made her presence known as one of the premier female fighters in the world, an elite talent for sure. Her kickboxing has vastly improved and she fearlessly faced a seasoned knockout artist, showing great courage and skill.

William Knight Vs Marcin Prachnio

In the first round of the fight, Prachnio used his kicks to take control of the bout, while Knight displayed very little offense. Prachnio capitalized on this by repeatedly targeting Knight’s legs, even when he attempted to throw counters with a half-hearted punch or oblique kick.

In the second round, Prachnio maintained dominance with low kicks and head kicks, though Knight did have one successful low kick. Prachnio responded with two low kicks and a head kick of his own. Despite the effort on Knight’s part to catch a kick or two, Prachnio remained in control until the end of the round, where she tried to land a head kick before the bell sounded.

By the third round, Prachnio had taken full control of the bout as he continuously out-landed Knight with leg kicks and unsuccessfully tried a wheel kick and spinning back kick. Knight displayed one of his worst performances as he was unable to mount a successful attack despite making the minimal effort in defense.

The RDX Takeaway Prelim: Nazim Sadykhov vs. Evan Elder

The first round saw Evan “The Phenom” Elder taking the lead over Nazim “Black Wolf” Sadykhov with in-and-out strikes. Sadykhov returned that pressure with a right hook and body shot, but Elder countered with an overhand right that dropped Sadykhov. Despite this, Sadykhov popped back up and continued trading hard shots. The round ended with both fighters landing hard shots against the fence.

In the second round, Elder started out with a nice overhand right and was able to hold a slight edge on the feet. A back and fourth round with both landing hard shots, but Elder held a slight edge as he hit a double-leg takedown.

In the third round, Elder tried to tie up with Sadykhov but ate a bigger knee in return before the referee noticed a large cut on Elder’s eyebrow and called off the fight, resulting in a win for Nazim Sadykhov. Further Sadykhov was awarded a fight of the night bonus so he can celebrate the win. Impressive footwork and composure from the young Azerbaijani Lightweight, “Black Wolf”.
