Cody Garbrandt’s manager Ali Abdelaziz is not happy with the way the UFC is dealing with TJ Dillashaw’s drug test failure. Abdelaziz believes the UFC should wipe Dillashaw’s fight record clean.

It appears Abdelaziz is in the same boat as his client, Cody Garbrandt. Garbrandt has been vocal about Dillashaw’s PED use. He even went on record and accused Dillashaw.

Back in 2015, Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber, who was a teammate of Dillashaw’s at the time, were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter. Apparently, ‘Notorious’ gave ‘The California Kid’ some advice, stating Dillashaw was not someone who could be trusted. As it happened, Dillashaw had an ugly separation with the Sacramento-based fight team a couple of years later.

Recently, USADA suspended Dillashaw for two years. This was after he tested positive for EPO in the wake of his loss against Henry Cejudo earlier this year.

In light of these positive tests, Cody’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz has come forward with a very strict stance that the promotion should erase all of Dillashaw’s UFC wins following the USADA mess. Ali says we informed USADA way ahead of time about Dillashaw’s transgression.

He said:

“If you’re an Olympic gold medalist, and you get caught with steroids, they take all your medals away – every medal you ever won, T.J. Dillashaw, all his wins in the UFC should be taken away. We told USADA about this, … they ignored it.”

Ali’s demand might be a little too harsh, since TJ Dillashaw had passed all his drug test ahead of his fights, so it’s hard to tell when he was taking PEDs.

TJ Dillashaw is serving a suspension therefore flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes are scheduled to fight for the vacant title at UFC 238 next month.

According to Cody’s manager:

“I Want Cody Garbrandt To Fight In October Or November”

Ali Abdelaziz added:

“He’s got a lot of fight left in him, the key (is) you’ve got to get him healthy and get him right. The UFC wanted him to fight in Sacramento (at UFC on ESPN+ 13). I want him to fight in October or November. Let’s get him right.

“You know what the problem is with Cody? He’s too much of a fighter. If Cody fought the way (he did in the) Dominick Cruz fight, he’s going to be very hard to beat. But he’s got so much on his shoulder – a chip on his shoulders. If you punch him, he wants to kill you, he wants to eat your heart out. But that’s just Cody, love him or hate him.”

Before Cody returns he needs to take some precautionary measures to avoid repeating the mistakes of his past.
