Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he has pencilled in the Brook-Khan fight for this summer. Hearn hinted that negotiations between the two camps have begun already. He also revealed that the venue of the fight could be the famous Wembley.

Amir Khan was left without a challenger after Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao finally decided to lock horns. Khan, who had openly challenged Mayweather, has Kell Brook and Miguel Cotto on his list of potential fights.

In a recent media appearance Hearn stated:

“We’ve seen in the past week with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao that the big fights can be made. That gives me hope that we finally might get Amir and Kell in a ring.”

He added that Brook-Khan showdown will be a top-fight. Hearn revealed that he had an optimistic conversation with Khan’s camp and they told him that this fight will happen one day. Hearn further added that a proposed June 13 for the Wembley Arena has been suggested.

Brook has been desperately chasing Khan for years. Khan has rejected all his proposals, considering Brook not to be a big name in the boxing world. Khan was forced to reconsider his stance when the Sheffield-born fighter, Brook won the IBF welterweight title against Shawn Porter on 28 March 2014.

If Brook and Khan do put pen on paper to fight this summer, the fight is expected to be huge in United Kingdom as the two fighters are renowned names among British boxing fans.
