The biggest MMA star, Conor McGregor must win his next fight to stay relevant in the game.

It cannot be denied that record pay-per view main event featured Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov last year and the Irishman enjoys a great fan following too. However, with all the fame and glory the superstar has not won a fight since November 2016. We know ‘The Notorious’ is most bankable name in combat sports but lately he seems to have lost venom. He deserves the title because only few in MMA stars have pulled a fan base like he has.

The infamous whiskey-slinging knockout artist has millions of fans following on social media as the superstar enjoys fast lifestyle of cars, cash, mansions and boats, stuff most people can even dream of. For the moment Conor McGregor has a fight game in his hand which he has to win.

The weight is beginning to tell as there has been a significant time span since the champ last won, to be precise since November 2016. This doesn’t go well with the fighter’s persona. To sum this, the biggest MMA start didn’t win after being knocked out by Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

Conor McGregor’s recent fights were not up to the mark and that’s alarming. We know he was expected to lose from the all-time boxing greats-it was always on the cards. But the way he lost the one-sided conquest against ‘the Eagle’ was really disappointing for a person who almost won against every other opponent in MMA. It clearly showed McGregor isn’t the lightweight force many thought he was when he held a title.

‘The Notorious” has many options to choose from, it could be longtime rival Nate Diaz, frontrunner Cowboy Cerrone or even Anderson Silva with chance for a rematch with Khabib is always there.

Whoever he decides to fight he has to win as simple as that! For a champ like him going here years without a win as the UFC’s biggest star is something that doesn’t match his stature. We know his mainstream exposure is unmatched but a loss at this stage would make things little worse. In his previous five fights he lost three and all were by TKO and submissions.

McGregor needs to get back on track in the worst way. He’d probably still be the biggest star in MMA with yet another loss. He can’t risk his fame for so long as the man brings eyeballs by often creating controversial. It’s a fact that he has been able to redefine the fight game, for better or worse. But when the dust is settled, this is combat and you have to win fights to stay relevant.
