After much speculation, it has finally been revealed who David Price’s opponent will be on Feb 21. The Liverpool heavyweight, will be fighting Irineu Beato Costa Junior at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany.

Both the boxers will fight on the undercard of the WBO super-middleweight championship rematch between Arthur Abraham and Paul Smith.

David Price is excited about the upcoming match, considering Costa Junior as one of his favorite opponents, based on his boxing record which has strong similarities to his own, with sixteen victories and just two setbacks.

The former British Olympian defeated Yaroslav Zavorotnyi in June last year, and has since been recovering from an injury that has been keeping him out of the ring. But in recent weeks, Price has confidentially announced his comeback, with great strength and enthusiasm.

Both fans and critics are curious about his next steps to rebuild his career, many hoping for a substantial victory from their hero. David Price’s sponsor Kalle Sauerland, openly consider Costa Junior a serious competitor, set to give Price a tough challenge.

With Price turning 32 in July, critics believe his days are now numbered and doubt his abilities to still be fighting 3rd tier opponents.

What are your thoughts? Do you think 2015 will be there year Price makes his comeback? Send us your feedback….
