While McGregor was taking on Mayweather in his boxing debut, his absence in the UFC was felt greatly. He is the current UFC lightweight champion and he has to defend that title. There have been many possible matches being discussed, the most exciting being McGregor vs Diaz 3. There have been rumors going around the MMA world that McGregor-Diaz is all but done.

Dana White on McGregor vs Diaz 3

Fans are excited about Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon and they want the fight to be with Nate Diaz.

So when the rumor mill started churning last week and news came out that McGregor vs Diaz is a sure thing. Excitement and anticipation among UFC fans were natural responses.

But UFC head Dana White finally responded to all the rumors saying that they aren’t true.

He posted his direct response on his twitter account, crashing all the hopes of the fans.

McGregor’s Plans

Everyone in the MMA world has been talking about who McGregor will fight in the octagon next and when he will make his comeback.

But McGregor himself has remained mum on the subject.

Even with all the rumors going around, he hasn’t responded to or addressed any of them.

He seems to be enjoying his time off.

Diaz Fight makes Sense

It is obvious that a McGregor-Diaz fight is in everyone’s interest.

The previous bouts between the two UFC stars were hugely successful.

Diaz took the first matchup by submission. Handing Conor the first loss of his UFC career.

The Irishman took the second meeting by decision. The match was an outright battle between the two fighters.

It will only be fitting for the rivalry to continue and the fans of both McGregor and Diaz get what eagerly want to see.

We hope that Dana White is currently working on getting the deal done and we see the match at the end of this year or at the start of the next one.
