Round 1 – 3

Floyd starts his first three rounds with shadow boxing. He warms up by practicing footwork, throwing simple punches, and working on his speed and technique. While the first two rounds solely focus on practicing one’s form.

In these rounds, Floyd focuses on hitting the hand pads. He usually performs these rounds with the assistance of another person. he starts by hitting the hand pads for 15 minutes. His entire focus in these rounds is on increasing his speed and agility by throwing a combination of punches.

Round 8-10

In these rounds, Floyd takes the assistance of his trainer and works on his hooks, uppercuts, and short jabs.  He spends 10 to 15 minutes working on the body pad.

Round 11-14

In these rounds, Floyd works on punching his punch bag for about 10 to 15.

Floyd trains with the hand pads for the next 10-15 minutes with his coach. This time he works on different punching combinations, slips, and weaves.

Round 19-21

In rounds 19 to 21, Floyd works on his body shots. Executing the body shots with proper form targets the core muscles and builds up core strength. For these rounds, he takes the assistance of his trainer and the trainer wears a body pad to allow Floyd to land some great punches.

Round 22-26

Now Floyd gets back to the heavy bag and trains to enhance his endurance. Then he starts working on improving his speed and technique.

After throwing punches at the punch bag, Floyd takes off his gloves and works with the speed bag. Speed bag works on the coordination between your eyes and hands.

Round 30-32

In the 37th round, he performs 50 ab roll-outs followed by sit-ups.

Round 38-39

In these rounds, Floyd attaches the neck harness and performs up and down neck raises with 25 pounds with the weight attached to his harness. Then he performs 50 reps of neck raises for 3 to 6 sets. And takes little breaks between the sets.
