Not many fighters have had the type of rivalry that Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have had in UFC. They took it to the next level.

The trash talk is epic.

The public brawls are intense.

The anticipation is exhilarating.

All in all the whole episode is more entertaining to MMA fans than any other current rivalry.

Jones and Cormier are set to face each other in their long awaited second bout at UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim, California.

As expected the war of words between the two is already heating up and things will come to a boil come fight day.

Jones will bury the hatchet

‘Bones’ has recently said that after winning the fight he will like to forget about his rivalry with Cormier and extend a hand of truce. If you are not surprised then you know Jon Jones and how he likes to operate.

He has set one very daunting condition for the elusive truce.

Cormier has to realize that he, Jones, is the better fighter.

He went to on to say that it is very unlikely because of “how he [Cormier] acted the first time I beat him.” A very clear indication that is having some fun at Cormier’s expense.

It is pretty clear that the whole ‘letting bygones be bygones’ thing isn’t going to work out between these two fighters.

Jones the real champion

Jones believes that he is the real champion because he never lost the title.

Cormier is the current UFC light heavyweight champion. However, Jones predicts that he will not spend much more time with the belt.

With Jones making comments like “I’d be willing to bet the house he’s going to come up with some kind of excuse or reason why he lost this fight”, it is clear that nothing in this rivalry is going to be buried anytime soon.

The Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fight is highly anticipated. The fighters have made the build up as entertaining as possible. It remains to be seen if Jones’ prediction will come true or not.
