They are finally here, the tickets for Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor fight are finally on sale now.
The Aug 26 bout will take place in Las Vegas at the T Mobile Arena that has the capacity to seat 20,000 people.
The ‘Money’-‘Notorious’ fight is the most anticipated boxing match of the year and both boxing and MMA fans alike will be scrambling to get one of those 20,000 seats at the arena.
The Pricing
The cheapest ticket for the fight is priced at £1983. But you have to pay for the right to access the tickets before you can purchase them.
This may be confusing to some people, but online ticket vendors have adopted this measure to counteract any unsavory reselling of tickets.
Another measure that will keep the ticket hawkers away is that one person can only buy 2 tickets at most.
If you are looking to sit on the front row, then you must be willing to spend £19147 on a ticket.
Ticketmaster is selling the tickets online but there is no telling how many tickets they have available. You can visit the site not to learn how you can book your place to witness history.
If you aren’t able to see the fight in person for obvious reasons – hint the tickets are really expensive – then you have 2 other options;
- Buy the Showtime PPV for the fight
- Buy a ticket to one of the theaters that will be playing the fight live.
The Money Fight
Mayweather is coming out of retirement at age 40 for what he says will be his last fight. The unbeaten boxer has a record of 49-0 and he is putting his legacy on the line against an opponent the likes of which he has never faced before.
McGregor is a 29-year-old fighter that has made a name for himself in the MMA world with tenacity and skill. He is trying to do the impossible by taking on the best defensive boxer and beating him at his own game.
Sides have already been chosen.
McGregor has already become a fan favorite, his reception at the pressers is a clear indication of that.
The MMA world is backing its champion as well.
On the other side of the spectrum is Mayweather. Hated by fans but his skills in the ring are undeniable.
Even his former opponents are picking him over McGregor.
The most recent legend to comment on the fight, Mike Tyson, said that McGregor will ‘get killed fighting Mayweather’.
