Ever since the Mayweather-McGregor fight was made official, both the MMA and boxing world have been captivated.

The unbeaten boxer against the explosive MMA fighter in a boxing ring. What’s not to like?

The press tour showed the huge entertainment value of the Aug 26 fight.

Not to mention the fact that this could be the richest fight in boxing history.

Naturally, the fight has garnered a lot of attention, and one fact is especially been on everyone’s mind; what if McGregor goes all ‘Notorious’ on Mayweather when he is in the ring?

McGregor’s Life could be destroyed

Dana White, the UFC Supremo, recently addressed this detail. He said that there specific additions in the contract of the fight that prevent Conor from using MMA tactics. If he gets frustrated, which is a possibility with him facing the best defensive boxer of our time, his ‘life could be destroyed’.

It’s safe to assume that the contract will ensure there are significant financial penalties for McGregor if he tries to do anything else than punching Mayweather’s body or head.

White’s statement gives us a clear indication of how substantial those penalties could be.

A lot of money involved

The fight purse is estimated to be close to $200 million, with the winner getting a big chunk of it.

If McGregor uses any outlawed maneuver in the ring, he will be disqualified and most of that money will go in Mayweather’s pocket.

McGregor has never earned that much from a single fight and White thinks that it will keep his head in the game.

All speculation and predictions at this point. We will only learn what McGregor, or Mayweather, will do or not do inside the T Mobile Arena on fight day.
